They're Here!!!

Shawn and Erin have officially moved in! I'm so excited, I didn't even mind ending previous sentence with a preposition;-). They brought some delicious lemon cake with them! Welcome home!!!

Shawn and Erin Stop By

Shawn and Erin came over tonight. When I got home from church they were sitting downstairs on the new futon that Tyler and I put together for them. They sat there for several minutes and it didn't break! I was so excited!! They will spend one more night in their apartment and then they'll move in with us. We are so looking forward to it!! Erin is my baby girl!! Shawn looked good, but was a little under the weather.

New Information

This information is new and still sketchy, at best. I will try to explain what I know. The surgeon did another scope today, and found that the cancer was lower in the colon than earlier thought. We're unsure what that means at this point. Shawn will undergo an ultrasound next Wednesday to determine whether the cancer has entered the rectum wall. If it has, then he will have 4-6 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation. After a 4-6 week break after chemo, he'll have surgery. If it hasn't entered the wall, then surgery will be immediate, followed by chemo. As I learn more, I will update the blog. Darryl

Doctor Visit

It is now 1:50 and Shawn and Erin are seeing the surgeon. Hopefully, today they will find out some specifics. Edie and Shawn's mom are also there. As soon as I receive news, I will post it here. Darryl
