New Information

This information is new and still sketchy, at best. I will try to explain what I know. The surgeon did another scope today, and found that the cancer was lower in the colon than earlier thought. We're unsure what that means at this point. Shawn will undergo an ultrasound next Wednesday to determine whether the cancer has entered the rectum wall. If it has, then he will have 4-6 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation. After a 4-6 week break after chemo, he'll have surgery. If it hasn't entered the wall, then surgery will be immediate, followed by chemo. As I learn more, I will update the blog. Darryl

Hey Shawn, Erin, and Family! This blog is an incredible idea!!! It will save you all having to talk to me so much! Just this morning I called Erin's cell to say HI and to get an update! Now I can just log-on to the blog! Just know that although Frank and I will not be experiencing every aspect of this process the exact same way as you all, please be aware that we are taking the journey with you!!
You know our #'s if you need anything! Thanks again for this handy way to stay updated!
With Love and Prayers,
Heather and Frank
