From Erin

Shawn's results came back from his upper GI scope that he had done about 2 weeks ago. Dr. Cox said the biopsy was benign, which meant it's not cancer. He said there was minor displasia, which means swelling and that the polyops in his stomach had grown since his last upper GI, which was 6 months ago. Dr. Cox said that eventaully they will probably have to take out his stomach but not anytime soon. He wants to see him for another Upper GI in 6 months. He wants this one done at the hospital so that the pathologists could get a better understanding of what the report says and Dr. Galandiuk wanted to be apart of it as well. He put Shawn on Nexium, "the purple pill" to reduce the swelling that he has in his stomach at the present time.

Dr. Cox did recommend that Shawn needs to go have his thyroid checked very soon because he wants to make sure that with this FAP gene that it hasn't spread to the thyroid.

Shawn did have treament today. It wipped him out. He slept all during the treatment and then some afterwards. As you get more involved in the treatment the worse the side effects get and the longer they last. But he is taking it one day at a time. Sunday I start giving him his Nupagen shots for 10 days this time because his blood count drops so low. Hopefully he will be able to stay on track with his treatments this way.

Thank you again for all of the support that we continue to get from everyone. We couldn't be here today without every single one of you. Love ya! Erin Renee'
